With summer right around the corner in Greece, time is running out to get your beach reads lined up for the season. Luckily, right on time, a big celebration coming soon to a little bookstore near you is the perfect chance to stock up.
From May 27 to June 1, 121 small bookshops all over Greece are joining together and inviting book lovers everywhere to celebrate Little Bookstores Week!
For the third year in a row, Little Bookstores Week is promoting reading in our neighborhoods and the role of local bookstores as hubs of community. The week includes opportunities to meet beloved authors, activities designed for readers young and old, and book discussions on the power of collaboration and participation and the value of togetherness and coexistence.
Little Bookstores Week 2024 is made possible through funding from the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), which is providing support for the event for the second year in a row.
